About This Site
This site is written and published by dermia clinic, a dermatology clinic in Myeongdong, Seoul. It exists to answer the timing questions that come before choosing a clinic.
What this site is for
People planning a treatment abroad usually solve the wrong problem first. They compare clinics before working out what their dates allow, and then discover that the treatment they wanted needs a week they do not have.
So this site starts with the calendar: recovery times, intervals, what fits a short trip, and what a visit involves. The trip planner puts those together for your dates.
Who writes it
Dr.scene (Dr. Shin Dong-hyun) is the medical director of dermia clinic in Myeongdong, Seoul. He consults and treats personally, and consultations are held in English.
Pages with medical content carry the name of the doctor who reviewed them and the date of that review. If a page has no review line, it has not been reviewed yet, and those pages are kept out of search results until they have been.
What we deliberately leave out
- Prices. They change, so they stay on the clinic site where they are kept correct.
- Opening hours, walk-in availability, hotel suggestions. All of these change, and a page that is quietly out of date is worse than no page.
- Other clinics. We are not a directory and we do not rank competitors.
- Before-and-after photographs.
What is left is the part that stays true: how healing works, how clinics operate, what the words mean, and how the district is laid out.
